Adriano Biza

Mr. Adriano Biza is a Mozambican, a PhD fellow at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, Integrated Water Systems & Governance Department and Institute for Social Science Research, University of Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. He has a background in Anthropology and has been working as an assistant lecturer at the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Eduardo Mondlane University since 2001. Adriano has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences (1998) and a BA honours in Social Anthropology. In addition, Adriano holds a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology and Sociology of Development and Political Change from the Institute for Social and Economic Development Studies (IEDES), University of Paris1 – Sorbonne – Pantheon (France). His research is about ‘The Politics of Wastewater in Maputo City, Mozambique’. It looks at how the provision and use of sanitation services is differentiated across the city and the impacts on health and citizenship. He is under supervision of Michelle Koy, Maria Rusca, Sandra Manuel and Margreet Zwarteveen.
